Activity |
1 |
Nurse |
Initially
the nurse creates a new patient account and assigns an initial patient
password. The nurse notifies physician that the user is initialized and assigned
an initial disease severity/disability criterion. |
2 |
Doctor |
Doctor
reviews the criterion and customizes the criterion according to needs of each
specific patient. This activity can be done with patient’s assistance. The doctor
instructs the patient why, when, and how to perform evaluation. |
3 |
Patient |
Patient
initially familiarizes with LSPmed and changes the
initial password, to protect his/her data from unauthorized access. Then, the
patient (with or without assistance of nurse) performs evaluation by
answering questions built in the severity/disability criterion. The result of
evaluation is reported as an overall percent of severity/disability. Patient
periodically performs the evaluation to track the development of disease. |
4 |
Doctor |
Doctor
analyzes patient evaluation results: the overall severity/disability, the
changes of individual severity/disability components, and trends. Based on that
analysis doctor suggests to patient the most appropriate treatment. |
Guest |
You are welcome to visit LSPmed as a
guest. Guests can perform a part of functions that are available to patients.
Guests need no password. They are directed to a default criterion for the
evaluation of patient disability caused by peripheral neuropathy. Guests can
enter percent levels of their symptoms, and compute the overall disability
score at the time of visit. After logging out, all guest data are deleted. |
